Terms of Service

These terms cover use of Kaptr by hosts (who create events and accounts) and guests (who upload photos and videos via a QR code without an account). By creating an event or uploading a photo, you agree to these terms.

Your content

You keep ownership of anything you upload. By uploading, you give Kaptr and the event's host a license to store, display, and let the host download it — only for the purpose of running that event's gallery and slideshow. We don't use guest content for anything beyond that (no marketing, no resale, no training any product on it) without asking first.

Host responsibilities

Every upload is held for host approval before it's visible to anyone else. As a host, you're responsible for reviewing what your guests submit and rejecting anything inappropriate, non-consensual, or that shouldn't be made public — including images of people who may not want to be shown. Kaptr provides the moderation tools; using them responsibly is on you.

Acceptable use

Don't upload anything illegal, anything you don't have the right to share, or anything intended to harass or expose someone without their knowledge. We can remove content or suspend an account that violates this, with or without notice.

Paid plans

Your first event is free. Paid plans unlock higher guest counts or unlimited events, billed as described on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Pricing is still early and may change before general availability — we'll always show the current price before you pay. Cancel anytime from your account settings; canceling stops future billing but doesn't retroactively refund the current period unless required by law.

Account and photo deletion

Hosts can permanently delete their account from Settings at any time. Deleting your account removes your profile, your events, and the guest media tied to those events — this can't be undone, so we ask for confirmation before it runs.

Guests never create an account, so there's nothing to delete on that side by default — but anyone who appears in a photo, guest or not, can ask us to take a specific photo down. Email hello@getkaptr.app with a link or description of the photo and we'll remove it.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
